Watchmen

  • Jul. 31st, 2008 at 12:27 AM

So last week, I saw the trailer, and I thought, "holy shit, its going to be badass!"

And I picked up the graphic novel and read the first couple of books...and saw the trailer again. And thought, "omfg, this is really going to be bad ass!!!"

I just finished the graphic novel tonight. And now I'm thinking, "how in the world are they going to pull that shit off!?!?!?"

Sarah Jane Adventures

  • Jul. 29th, 2008 at 5:27 PM

I can't believe how crappy this is. I mean Dr. Who and Torchwood is so brilliant, and to make something as inane like this is like a kick to the nuts. If I didn't know better, its like this is a Dr. Who for retarded children. I think I'll watch to the end of the season (yeah, I like the pain), and then no more. =(

I think they would have been better served by making a series of his daughter instead.

I'm soooo weak

  • Jul. 23rd, 2008 at 12:05 AM

heh, I just bought this set

I still have some of the originals first set sitting in a box...Zorro, Luffy, and the Ussop/Chopper combo.  Gotta find time and space to hang them up!  But I think I need to find me a Going Merry next, hehe.

biggest thing about losing weight is the dieting. Diet with tea, hahaha *cough* *cough*. Anyway, I figure I'd do the 6-1 plan. Six days of whole grain breakfast and chicken salad lunch and dinner, and a day of whatever I damn well want. Only problem with that is I'm usually too damn lazy on my one day and I end up eating pretty reasonable =( heh. Anyway, over the 4th weekend, I finally did something and made shephards pie.

freshly whipped mash! From real potatoes even!

pretty standard fare except for the super secret spice herb mix I put in the meat

took a bit and I immediately realized I forgot the cheese! But it was still good.

Only problem was that the potatoes unmashed themselves when left in the fridge for leftovers. I gotta figure out a way to keep them fluffy.

I think I'll make lasagna next week.

OMG

On Doctor Who

  • Jul. 10th, 2008 at 5:42 PM

The season four was a bit anticlimactic. Not what I was expecting though. But one thing that was bothering me was where were all these extras coming in from? And then it hit me...spin offs! And I rejoiced that I have more of this brilliant series to absorb!

Torchwood
Adventures of Sarah Jane

One I am waiting for is the adventures of Jenny, his daughter. It looks to be a very promising show.

Bruce's brother Terrence (he prefers Terry now, but we'll always know him as Terreance) stars in a film in one of this year's entrants to the 72 hour film shootout. Pretty damn good! Check it out!
